If you’re looking to test your Bluebeam Revu skills or want to have a designated certificate that can show employers of your abilities with the program, you may want to opt in to becoming a Bluebeam Certified User.

Being a Bluebeam Certified User (otherwise known as a BCU) will provide you with a certificate that can be added to your resume to show employers that you have considerable knowledge and skill with Bluebeam Revu.

Additionally, becoming a BCU is a requirement for  becoming a Bluebeam Certified Instructor – so if you had any interest in teaching Bluebeam Revu professionally, becoming a BCU would be your first step.

This article will go over the steps required to become a BCU so you can prove your ability to work with Bluebeam Revu.

STEP 1: TAKE A BLUEBEAM REVU CERTIFIED TRAINING COURSE

The first requirement to becoming a BCU is taking a Bluebeam Revu Certified Essentials course, which is a one-day, hands-on course instructed exclusively by a Bluebeam Certified Instructor. This course will teach you the fundamentals of using Revu, giving you the knowledge to create, edit, markup and collaborate on PDF documents with ease.

In the past, this course was only provided on site, but given the circumstances of the current Covid-19 pandemic, Bluebeam has authorized Taradigm to provide this Certified Revu Essentials course virtually. For a limited time, this course will be available via a virtual classroom environment with hands on instruction and activities – this will fulfill the BCU prerequisite and give you the skills you need to earn the designation directly from the comfort of your home.

STEP 2: TAKE THE BLUEBEAM CERTIFIED USER EXAM

Once you have reached the end of the Bluebeam Revu Certified Essentials course, your instructor will provide you with a link to opt in to prove your skills via the BCU Exam. This exam will test your knowledge of the materials covered in the training course, and can be a good way to determine how much you learned. This BCU Exam is ONLY accessible after taking a Bluebeam Revu Certified training course.

If you pass the BCU Exam, Bluebeam will provide you with a certificate that will officially provide you with the BCU designation. Once certified, you can show off your certification on your resume, letting your employer know that you have the skills to successfully work with Bluebeam Revu. This can help to make you a strong competitor in the job market, as well as an asset to any company that may hire you for these skills.

      Hi Justin,
Taking the Bluebeam Certified Training course is a prerequisite to being able to take the exam. You will need to take the training course from a Bluebeam Certified Instructor in order to recieve the link to take the exam. These are two separate processes.
