Bluebeam Revu 20 is well known for its powerful PDF editing, markup and collaboration technology – but did you know that the program also has an integrated method for searching the web? Bluebeam Revu features a tool called WebTab, which allows you to access and browse through websites from within the application. When working with linked PDFs, WebTab is particularly useful for opening hyperlinks without having to open a separate web browser.
This article will highlight how to access and use WebTab within Bluebeam Revu 20. The following examples are taken using Bluebeam Revu 20 eXtreme edition, but the capabilities are available within all versions of Bluebeam Revu.
USING WEBTAB WITH HYPERLINKS
In Bluebeam Revu, hyperlinks can be added to PDFs to link to specific pages, projects, or even websites. To access a linked website from a PDF within Bluebeam Revu, simply click on the link. Revu’s WebTab will automatically open with the linked website open.

By accessing the hyperlink directly from within Revu, you are able to save the time and processing power that would be used to open the website within a separate application.
OPENING WEBTAB MANUALLY
WebTab can also be opened manually, without needing to click on a hyperlink. To open a new WebTab, select Window > WebTab, or press CTRL+T on the keyboard. The primary Home page will open, which is set to the Bluebeam website by default.

WebTab will work similarly to any other internet browser. To navigate to a specific website, type a URL in the address bar and press ENTER.
There are additional browser functionalities available within the Webtab, such as Back, Forward, and Refresh buttons. There is also a Favorites option available, allowing you to add the current page to a list for easy re-access.
