Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) is Oracle’s newest cloud-based solution for project management. Similar to P6, Primavera Cloud allows you to create, manage, and schedule projects using the critical path method of scheduling. However, OPC features a variety of tools beyond those available in P6, such as risk analysis and chart creation. As a cloud-based program, OPC also allows you to access your projects from anywhere, at any time – regardless of location. With this program, you’re no longer confined to just one computer. You can access OPC on any computer, tablet, or phone, as long as you have internet access.

To start using OPC, your organization must first purchase licenses and add team members as users to the cloud database. Once added to the program, users can activate their accounts, set passwords, and login to the program.

In this article, we will take a look at how to activate a new account and login to Oracle Primavera Cloud as a user. This is the first thing you’ll need to do as an end-user to start using the program.

Logging in to Oracle Primavera Cloud

After your administrator adds you as a user to the program, you should receive the following activation email.

If you don’t receive this email, or the activation link expires, contact your application administrator. They will be able to resend this activation email.

Within this email, select Activate Your Account. You’ll be taken to a page where you can set your password. With a password set, you’ll receive another email from Oracle welcoming you to the program.

This email will provide a link to log in to the program. Depending on when you purchased the program, your login page will be one of the following URLs:

https://primavera.oraclecloud.com

https://primavera-us2.oraclecloud.com

Make sure you check which URL to use within that welcome email. If your database is hosted on the second link, you won’t be able to log in using the first link.

On this page, you’ll be prompted to log in to your organization’s database. Under User Name, enter in your email address – this should be the same email address that received the activation email from Oracle. Under Password, enter the password that you just set.

Logging in to a Different Oracle Primavera Cloud Account

After logging in to Oracle Primavera Cloud, your username will automatically fill in on the login page. However, there may be times where you will need to access another OPC account – such as if you’re attending an Oracle Primavera Cloud training course, or if you’re working with another company on a project.

To log in to a new Oracle Primavera Cloud account, you will need to first log out by selecting the User Menu > Sign Out.

To enter in a new username, select Change next to the User Name field.

Now, you’ll be able to enter in a new User Name and Password to access a different account within a separate database.

How to Reset Your Password

Oracle Primavera Cloud passwords stay private to each user. Unlike Primavera P6, even application administrators will not have access to the passwords you set. If you ever forget your password, you’ll need to reset it within the system.

You can reset your password on the login page. Here, select Forget Password.

Enter in your username, and then select Next. You’ll receive an email from Oracle where you can then reset the password for your account. 

Once reset, you can use your new password to log in going forward.
