Oracle Primavera Cloud is Oracle’s newest offering, allowing for project, portfolio, and program management in a cloud-based environment. As more organizations begin to transfer their traditional Primavera P6 projects to the cloud, new users may be wondering how to get started in Oracle Primavera Cloud. To start utilizing OPC, organizations first need to acquire a license and add team members as users to the cloud database. Once added as a user, team members can activate their account, create a password, and login to their cloud accounts to access all of the projects, portfolios, programs and data objects assigned to them.
In this article, we will cover how to activate a new account and login to Oracle Primavera Cloud as a user.
Activating Your Oracle Primavera Cloud Account
Once the system administrator for your organization adds you as a user to the Oracle Primavera Cloud database, you will receive an email from Oracle prompting you to activate your account:
When you select “activate your account,” a window will open for you to set your password for your Oracle Primavera Cloud account. Unlike in Primavera P6 Professional, Primavera Cloud does not allow the system administrator to access or change your password. Now, only the user will have access to their selected password.
Once an appropriate password has been entered and confirmed, a congratulatory window will appear, letting you know that your password has been set. You can now login to Oracle Primavera Cloud using your email address and selected password.
Logging in to Oracle Primavera Cloud
The Oracle Primavera Cloud login page can be accessed at any time from the following URL: https://primavera.oraclecloud.com.
On this page, you’ll be prompted to log in to your organization’s database. Under User Name, enter in your email address – this should be the same email address that received the activation email from Oracle. Under Password, enter the password that you just set.
Logging in to a New Oracle Primavera Cloud Database
If you’re already an Oracle Primavera Cloud user, you’ll automatically be prompted to log in to your organization’s cloud database. However, there may be times where you will need to access another organization’s cloud database – such as if you’re attending an Oracle Primavera Cloud training course, or if you’ve been added as a resource within another company’s cloud environment.
In order to log in to a new Oracle Primavera Cloud database, you will need to first log out of your account by selecting the User Menu > Sign Out.
When attempting to login to Oracle Primavera Cloud again, you will automatically be taken to login to the database you were previously in. In order to log in to a new database, you will need to clear the cookies and cache for the browser you are using. This can generally be done in your browser’s Security and Privacy settings. To see how to do this for all browser types, please refer to this article.
Once cleared, access the Oracle Primavera Cloud login page once again, here. With your browser’s cookies and cache deleted, you’ll be directed to a new login screen.
Enter the email address for the Oracle Primavera Cloud account that you need to access. This will automatically direct you back to the login page, but this time, you will be logging in to the database associated with the registered email address.
