As a user in a Primavera P6 Professional SQL database, your login credentials would have been created by the administrator during database implementation. However, as a user within a database, you can change this password at any time to fit your needs.

If you’re using a standalone SQLLite database, you can also use this method to adjust your user credentials.

To change your password in Primavera P6 Professional, select the Edit menu…

…and click on User Preferences.

In the User Preferences window, select the Password tab.

Then, select the Password button.

Next, you will need to enter in your current password, along with your desired new one.

Once you select OK, a confirmation window will appear to let you know that the password was successfully changed.

It’s important to note that this method of changing your user password will only work if you know your current one – if you have forgotten your current password, you will need to contact your database’s administrator to have them adjust it for you.
